Nikolaou Family has a long and interesting history going back to the Megara Olive Groves in 1833 when the family started picking olives for professional use, in 1875 our ancestors received their first license as an olive mill. Nikolaou Family is a 6th generation Greek firm and its competitive advantage is that we control every stage of production, therefore having the ability to guarantee thε quality of our products. We have managed to combine tradition with modernisation and expand our activity abroad with Nikolaou Family products now being sold in countries worldwide. Nikolaou Family’s primary goal is the production of high quality products with respect to both the raw materials and the environment, besides the long term survival and continued improvement of our company, stands as proof that we have built and continue to build relationships based on honesty and trust with our clients. Our Olive Mill is located in the Megara Grove, one of the oldest groves in the country with olive trees that are over 2000 years old. Our modern and clean facilities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 22000 (HACCP) and are certified Organic by BIO Hellas. A recent update in our milling equipment in 2020 means we are now one of the most modern mills in Greece with pioneering new technology. Our bottling factory is recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture under the number EL 40232. Our certified facilities (ISO 9001, ISO 22000 (HACCP), BioHellas) contain semi-automatic and automatic bottle filling equipment for the quick, clean and certified production of both organic and conventional olive oil. We also hand fill specialty bottles on request. Our handcrafted soaps made from Extra Virgin Olive Oil continue to be produced in the Nikolaou Family worksoap for the past 100 years. Our soaps are made using traditional techniques and methods, without the use of any chemical substances or mechanical equipment. The recipes have been handed down through generations and the soap production remains a strictly family affair.
